The World Continues to Turn

Debbie has moved back to Oxford. I wish her all the very best, and I'm sorry it didn't work out down here for her. She will be missed, but has promised visits and London nights out!

Monday I made Rod an Italian veal stew from the 5 ingredients book. The 5 ingredients were 10, I wish I had the mythical stock cupboard to which they refer! It was ok, better the next day when I slow cooked it. But another thing learned. My Gorgonzola-laden gnocchi went down well though! As did hos gift to me, of duty free salted caramel vodka. Same as we had in Paris, very yummy.

Yesterday we went to a Camino talk, and I'm glad, for 2 reasons. Firstly, I think my walking route may be a little too dull now, and want to change it. Secondly, I think I could do a very reasonable ride. Portugal looks good. Food for thought!

And I went somewhere I thought I would never be invited. I feel very warmly about that.

I am struggling quite a bit with hormones, tearful a lot of the time, plus the incessant overheating and overeating. I'll soldier on a bit longer, but I am pissing myself and everybody else off, so may have to see the Doc. I do get that my lifestyle isn't plain sailing, but still.....
